This privacy policy applies to the GarageNote 車・バイクの整備手帳 app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Aito Takazawa (hereby referred to as "Service Provider"). This service is intended for use "AS IS".
Information Collection and Use
The Application itself does not run its own server and does not require a user account or sign-in.
All data you enter into the Application — vehicles, fuel records, maintenance records, expenses, photos, and settings — is stored locally on your device only. The Service Provider has no access to this data, and it is never sent to the Service Provider unless you explicitly export and share it yourself (for example, via the backup/export feature).
The Application displays advertising (see "Third Party Access" below) and offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("Pro") that removes ads and unlocks additional vehicle slots. Payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store / Google Play; the Service Provider never sees your payment details.
Third Party Access
Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:
- Google AdMob — used to display advertising. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers to select and measure ads. This is not used if you purchase "Pro".
- Apple App Store / Google Play — processes the optional "Pro" in-app purchase.
- Amazon.co.jp — when you tap "パーツを探す" (Find parts) to search for a replacement part, which opens Amazon.co.jp in your device's browser. Amazon's own privacy policy applies once you leave the Application.
The Application also uses your device's built-in App Store review prompt and, where supported, its native photo library / camera picker to let you attach a photo to a vehicle. Neither of these send any data to the Service Provider.
Disclosure
The Service Provider does not hold personal information on their own servers to disclose. Aggregated, non-personally-identifiable information may be visible to the Service Provider through AdMob's own reporting dashboards, as described in AdMob's privacy policy linked above.
Opt-Out Rights
You can limit ad personalization through your device's own privacy/advertising settings (for example, "Ask App Not to Track" on iOS). Purchasing "Pro" removes ads entirely. You can also remove all data created by the Application at any time by deleting it within the app, or by uninstalling the Application, which removes all locally stored data from your device.
Data Retention Policy
All data stays on your device for as long as you keep the Application installed. If you export a backup file yourself, that file is your responsibility to store and delete.
Children
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children, since it does not collect information from anyone.
Security
Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security (passcode, Face ID/Touch ID, disk encryption, etc.).
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, for example if advertising or cloud sync features are added in a future version. The Service Provider will update this page with the new Privacy Policy whenever that happens. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes.

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information (or lack thereof) as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
